Who doesn't love to play in the mud?
Looking at a pamphlet from the local Parks and Recreation department, I was intrigued by a course offering in pottery. Why not? I asked my daughter if she would like to join me in the adult education class at the local high school. Upon entering the room, there were beginning potters like myself, as well as incredibly talented artists making both hand sculpted and wheel thrown pieces of pottery.
The class was the first step in my journey of becoming a potter. I purchased my own wheels and kiln, making objects in our garage. Giving back to the community, I make empty bowls to help feed the homeless and mugs for cancer patients to hold in their hands and know someone cares. When we moved to Colbert, I was thrilled to have my own pottery studio, and Greg was very happy I wasn't slinging mud all over his car and carboys filled with wine. Win for both of us!
I accept special orders, this is a sampling of my work. Contact me, describe what you would like, and I'll get right back to you.
